Can anyone tell me how to remove qttask out of my start up folder, beside msconfig? I don't really want to have my computer in selective startup all the time. Does anyone know another way to keep it out of my start up folder, without editing the registry? I'd like to know an easy to understand way to do it, as I'm not real adapt at computers. Thanks!

from apple, makers of quicktime; To disable QTTASK, either use MSCONFIG.EXE, or use REGEDIT.exe to delete it from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

I'd be interested to know, just for the curiosity, why you don't want to use selective startup. It works fine on a permanent basis, despite the scaremongers. Editing the registry is, of course, more permanent.
