How to remove "my network places" from the desktop ?

Hello Everybody, Can anyone tell me how to remove the icon "my network places" from the desktop ? I have a cable modem to acess the internet, I use a LAN PCMCIA card. Will this effect my internet connection ? So yes, can I move the Icon into a map on drive C ? Many Thx to all of you. Please help. Best Regards, Marc.

Hello Marc,
I would not remove the icon from the desktop. If you do that, you will get all kinds of problems with network connections (including the internet). It removes the network possibilities also. But if you want to try it, find TWEAKUI version 1.33 from Microsoft, that will install it self in the Configuration menu and you can remove (and later place it back) the network icon.

instead of using tweak ui, try using "tweak me" as it is specifically designed for win me. if you try using tweak ui and your windows search feature stops working let me know how you fixed it, i have that problem now.
