How to remove MY computer icon from

shafi, those 'icons' are just shortcuts to the programs. You can delete the icon from your desktop without affecting the underlying program. Anytime you want an icon back, just put a shortcut on your desktop. HTH. Ed in Texas.

shafi, I stand corrected. Shortcuts on your desktop contain a small arrow in the corner and can be deleted with no ill effect. If there is no arrow LEAVE IT ALONE! Sorry 'bout that. Probably the first time I EVER screwed up.Or not.... BTW, no icons on your desktop as suggested above sounds like a solution to your dilema. Ed in Texas.
