i would like to know how to install a webcam. I just got a Creative Labs Video Blaster WebCam. I tried going to "Run" to install it but doesn't work. They keep on telling me to put disk in drive d I put it in and it still doesn't not work.

This is all i know about installing new hardware.
TUrn off your computer. Plug in the hardware.
Turn on the computer. Windows should recognize it as new hardware and begin to search for drivers. Insert the hardwares CD. Point the hardware wizard to the CD-ROM. Windows should find and load the correct driver. Restart your computer. It should work.
Other option:
TUrn off your computer. Plug in the hardware.
Turn on the computer. If the hardware wizard begins cancel it. Insert the hardwares CD. It should autorun prompting you to make choices for installation. Choose the defaults A series of yes and next and OK will be clicked and finally finish. Restart the computer and it should work.
Other option:
TUrn off your computer. Plug in the hardware.
Turn on the computer. Insert the hardwares CD open up my computer/right click on the CD-ROM drive/Choose explore/Look for a setup.exe file. Double click it. Let it install. Restart the computer it should work.
Other option:
Carefully place the hardware and all accesroies back into the package, get on your bike, in your car, in a cab, to the bus stop....Go back to where you purchased it, head to the return counter, use the store credit slip to purchase something that works as it should. :) Good Luck!

carefull, some of the hardware requires first the software to be installed and then plug in the hardware.... it is headache to install it then when not done in incorrect order
Read carefully the instructions included with the webcam, there will be a detailed description what to do...
if your autorun on the CD rom is not working
then browse the installation cd and look for the *.exe files in its root directory... there will be probalby setup.exe that is starting the installation, but might be called something else too
also if there is some file named readme.txt
or other txt file in the root directory, print it out and read it.
