How to edit autoexec.bat and config,sys files?

can any one plz tell me how can one add command lines to the autoexec.bat and config.sys files, because every time you add aline to these and then restart your computer, the added lines are removed.Plz help

The real Crack Pipe would tell you the same as me, you can''t do it this way. There are messages about these problems on previus posts, with some workarounds. If you have a specific line that you want to include post it up in a new post that says

How do I add these to the WinME Config.sys : Device=C:\Windows\Himem.sys AND Device=C:\Windows\Emm386.exe RAM NOEMS ? I just want to get rid of the "Expanded Memory" which run by default.

config.sys and autoexec have been included in the reg now, so you have to go through System Tools, into System Config, and go to Environments. There, you add each new line with the first section being the variable, such as Stacks and the value being what you want...0,0 in my case. However, I cannot figure out how to get two Device(s) into it yet. Searching now...
