How to disable auto scandisk on Win Me?

You would be better off trying to find out which of your components/drivers is causing the problem and try to rectify it. Post the specs of your comp and let us ahve a look.

scandisk always freezes when its done scanning my drives after an incorrect boot up. what i did, which has worked better than just waiting, is hit Ctr+Alt+Delete and then Cancel it(simply done by hitting Escape)then do over and over and what i saw was new programs loading up till it finally booted winME. It took like 6 seconds and i hit Ctrl+Alt+Dele like 5 times. [gS]ebk
