I just bought an HP CD Writer 9110i and would like to know how to convert my MP3 files to .Wav files to put on my cd writer. The usual Adaptec CD Creator came with the writer, along with a cd called: 'Acid Music'. Don't know if this is what I need and don't want to load it without being sure. Any help appreiated.
Bruce

DOWNLOAD WINAMP 2.65 ONCE INSTALLED RIGHT CLICK ON THE GOLD WINAMP BAR ON TOP, GOTO OPTIONS/PREFERENCES/NULL DISKWRITER/CONFIGURE THEN STORE WHERE U WANT THE FILE TO GO/CLOSE. THE DRAG THE MP3 FILE INTO WINAMP, IT WILL CREATE A WAV FILE. ONCE COMPLETE DRAG THE WAV INTO YOUR CD RECORDER PROGRAM. TOOOOO EEEAAASSYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

I use winamp too, its the nuts.
just one point, the .Wav files are huge, about 10 times the MP3 size, not too be done on smaller hard drives........

Easy cd creator 4.01 deluxe actually converts them for you .Basically you just drag the mp3's to the bottom of the list and it will convert them for you .However i have noticed drastic sound quality change when its done this way . I would highly recommend that you do it with winamp , music match or audio catalyst.

I have found that the easiest one is Mp3 CD Maker. Makes great audio CD's and makes sure that they all have the same volume level thru "normalizing". Converts to .wav auto.
Try it out. Much easier than the other programs, but I have to admit WinAmp is the shi* too; however, not quite as easy as Mp3 CD maker.

You can also try Goldwave from www.goldwave.com
You will need the appropriate CODEC, just check out the details on the Goldwave site.
It will convert MP3 to WAV (and many others) and backwards. The files are indeed huge, but as you can change the sample rate you can play around the quality and file size (almost) after the event.

this is the fastest and most simple (yet allows you to do the most) MP3 program that i have ever found
http://simple.audiogalaxy.com
NOTE that there is no WWW in the address, i know strange.

The best one I have found and easy to use is called "Shuffler Music Converter". It is totally FREE and never expires.
It easily converts WAV, MP3, and WMA (and vice versa) by simply right clicking on the file and clicking convert. A box comes up asking what you want to convert to. It even converts at the highest quality bit rates with the option to use lower bit rates as well.
