I posted the same question before. Is there anyone know how to change file types in Windows Me, after downloaded a certain file from internet? I am trying to change the file type from "JS files" to "Winamp Media File" after I downloaded a mp3 song from the interent.

Open up a windows explorer folder, preferrably the one with the downloaded file in it. Then go to "Tools" at the top, and select "Folder Options". Once in there click on the "File types" tab at the top. Then from there you can just take the extension of the downloaded file, and turn it over to "Winamp".
And if you click on the "View" tab at the top, and click "Like Current Folder" it will always open that file type up in Winamp, no matter what folder it's in.
Good luck, hope it wasn't too hard of an explanation.
