I know that with win 98 it will support up to 256mb ... is it the same with ME? or does ME support more.
all the workarounds i know just disable the use of memory in excess of 512 meg... if you want to really use more than 512 get windwos 2000 Regards Miro

Miro - Nope (as far as I know)- They relate to the Vcache settings, not to the total physical memory Windows uses.

Using more than 256meg in windows 98 is not recommended. To use more than 512meg in WinMe, simply set the virtual memory settings to double the amount of physical ram as both minimum and maximum. That way you can have as much ram as your motherboadr will allow.... alternatively, use Win2k

Go to Control Panel/System/Performance tab and click Virtual Memory. Simply change the settings there.
