yeah that will do it or hold down F8 to force a safemode boot option and boot to command prompt only from there.

Well the reason why you are unable to enter the MS DOS mode in Windows ME is because there is no real MS DOS mode in Windows ME. The only way to access MS DOS mode is through the command prompt in Windows.

well the only way i know how to get to ms-dos is to creat a boot start up flopy disk and lev flopy disk in drive and restart the computer thats how my tec does it it works
