There is a amall utility available that you can download from the net that will give you the BIOS info I will look it up and give you the URL, but first why do you need to flash the BIOS?tell us what symptoms your puter is experiencing maybe there is another fix.

bios flashing needs a floppy. U'd better run ur pc with bios fail safe config. For this, access to bios option and valid on this option. Next u'll see whats wrong and advise at this moment

Please answer FJB's question. Why do you need to flash your bios? Who told you to do it?

Did this person or webpage tell you that you could completely mangle, fry, destroy your motherboard in the process?

Chances are you might not need a bios flash. So please! for the love of pete tell us why you think you need this upgrade.

Disclaimer :
I stole the love of pete line from a user here with the name Pete. It struck me funny and ive decided to use it more often.

why do you need to flash your BIOS? are you having a problem, did you get a BIOS update notification from your Manf's site?. updating or flashing a BIOS is something you do not do unless it is absolutely necessary to correct something.Ok having said all that it takes a floppy disc inserted in your drive and reboot.the floppy has to contain the insructions to update the Bios, and just follow the instructions.Hope that you do not get a power fluctuation or outage during the update or it will crash your computer.

the reason i posted several days ago and no one had an answer for it. so i tried everything i could think of and now im on this step.

i have a intellimouse web. and a keyboardmall.com keyboard. i have updated drivers for both
i have 512mb ram
1.4 gig amd athalon
60 gig hd
the problem is my mouse and keyboard have a mind of their own.
in counterstrike it will seem as if i hit a lag spike but i know its not lag issues cause it does the same with offline games too.ok, so i hit this weird "lag" then my guy will frequently spin in circles (really fast), switch weapons, and look up. what ever buttons on the keyboard i was pressing also stay down, until pressed again.
after a little while of this the mouse stops responding . sometimes my keyboard also stops responding at the same time as the mouse. it happens on my desktop as well. i get the "lag" and all of a sudden my mouse is in the bottom lefthand corner of the screen, or my left click will become right click until i press right click again. m y mouse wheel button is set to scroll. and without touching it the scroll function still comes up randomly on its own. the buttons also trigger themselves without being touched. i leave the house only to come back to a screen with a bunch of windows open and my mouse and keyboard frozen. my pc never freezes. everytime this happens the programs continue running, but i cant use my mouse or keyboard. please this problem came out of nowhere. i didnt hve it 2 months agao and now i do. i've looked everywhere and find a bunch people with similar problems, but no answers. i have formated 2 times and just installed the os and still had the prob. i think it may be hardware related. please help
thank you in advance

This has nothing to do with your BIOS. LEAVE IT ALONE.

This is definatly a Windows driver issue.

i already updated every driver on my system
i mean every driver. and why would this problem apear out of the blue and get progressively worse?
i am thinking its a hardware problem.

Mouse and keyboard? USB? I am not a tech and i dont have an answer to your question but ive experienced a number of bugs with usb devices. Have you tried a generic mouse & keyboard? Maybe one or both of them just dont work well with windows me. Updated drivers dont always solve the problem. The updates might be worse than the original.
