OS: WinMe
CPU/Ram: PIII / 384
Model/Manufacturer: Dell
Comment:
Hi,

I ran and finished Scandisk in DOS, since I couldn't run it in safemode without it stalling and freezing up. There were some bad clusters found.

Now I want to return to Windows but I've forgotten the command. I thought I was supposed to type "exit" after the c:\> prompt but that didn't work.

How do I exit DOS and return to WinMe? Thanks.

Mindy - you may have more problems in store than you want. Those bad clusters on your HDD are not good. They usually indicate the HDD is failing. Strongly advise you immediately back up all important files and start thinking about replacing the HDD!

In the MS-DOS prompt in Windows ME, at the command prompt, type "WIN". That is the command in Windows 95 and 98 so I presume that it is the same for ME.
