Unlike previous versions of Windows, the LOGO.SYS file is buried in another file. If you have your own LOGO's you want to add, just put the LOGO.SYS in the root folder. The other LOGO files go in your Windows folder (LOGOS.SYS and LOGOW.SYS)
Dont forget to set the resolution to 320x400 and when saving, save the file as a 256 color bitmap.

Thanks for the replys. where is the root file? Sorry for the dumb questions. I'm new at this. All I want is the current picture off. The old windows logo is welcome to go back on. I just dont know where to find the root folder.
Ok, the logo.sys goes into C:\LOGO.SYS so when you are in paint and click on save, click it to C:\ and remember to save it as a 320x400 picture and 256 color picture for every one you make. It has to be in 256 colors because the splash screen is shown in DOS.......
