Hi all, I made the biggest mistake of my life last month, when I went out and bought a Time machine. I want to back up the machine before I use Partition Magic 6 to repartition it (its got WinME on it). the problem is that when I went to check the reload disks, I don't have all of the software. The re-load CD is blank other than 2 small .bin files (total 3MB). I called Time and they informed me that the drive image is on a hidden partition. When I asked how I could back that up in case of a disk crash or sieze (probably 1 year and 1 day after I'd brought it) they said tough. They blamed Microsoft, but I know that there are others that are still passing out the ME CDs with the operating system. Anyways, can anyone please help me to unhide this partition so that I can back up my hard drive image? I would like to update it so that I get more than a basic windows image on there, ie I would like to add Office, DVD player etc. Any/all help would be appreciated. have u tried using norton ghost or powerquest drivecopy (downloadable demos from their sites). they're used to copy partitions - copy it and choose to unhide etc etc. i know this sounds vague but it may give you a pointer.
