Have you tried it?
If yes, what was the IRQ of each?

Maybe #12

If you use the Y adapter to plug both into 1 port you will either have windows recognise them as one mouse, or it wont work at all.
you can add morePS/2 ports using a PS/2 to USB converter.

Gerri, I would think you should be able to do it..I am running my laptop with the touch pad and a MiniMouse at this very moment...The MiniMouse just plugs into my usb, and is recognised...No extra software or anything...I can use either one...It's not a desktop, I know, but I think it should work for you too...
Regards, Hal

I haven't tried it-yet- I want to hook them into one port (ps2) I thought if I did that and turned the one NOT being used upside down then the other one should work and vice versa--does this make any sense or am I out to lunch? I already have a Y-cord 2 female in and one male out..

I feel certain you will need a switcher to switch between the two. They are very common and used frequently to connect one monitor and mouse to several PCs. Common sense says that you cannot have two controls operating one element, because the computer cannot negotiate who to give control to. In other words CHAOS.

I have no idea....
The mouse/mouse pad on the laptop work fine for me also if i use one or the other. Attempting to use both cause the chaos Brant mentioned above. One control device.

The only way/reason to use 2 mice would be if windows recognized them as two seperate entities.

Whats the point of this experiment? Trying to play a game or give two users the ability to point to things during a board meeting?
Game=it aint gonna happen unless windows supports it.
Board meeting=the y adaptor may work because only one of them will be pointing at a time.

I really have no way to test this myself and i dont know how windows would handle it so i cant be of much help. Good Luck.

what about.........
getting a ps2 extension cable so you can bring the connector around front saving you the trouble of moving the tower each time.
Plug in your chosen mouse before starting the computer.
