OS: windows ME
CPU/Ram: 1 gig athlon
Comment:

for a long time i had www.google.com as my homepage for both IE and netscape.

after i loaded weatherbug 5.02 i noticed that when i went to netcape or IE , if i try to load my homepage( google.com) it wouldnt load in either browsers.
but if i were to change the homepage to any other website, it would work.

heres an odd thing....
if i go into AOLs browser and load google.com from there. it works. and then if i were to go into netscape or IE right after that and try and load it, it will open. but if i clean out the webcache on both netscape and IE, it wont load.

i uninstalled weatherbug and i STILL have the problem.
can someone please help me?
i have zone alarm pro and nortons antivirus 2002
if i close zone alarm and try it, it still doesnt work
i ran adaware, and spybot Search and destroy i found some entries and deleted them
but i still have the problem
i ran a online trojan scanner too.
nothing found.
im not 100% sure it is the weatherbug that did it but around the time of me installing this , this happened
ive heard it contains spyware and hijack-ware.
ive dled browser hijack blaster too
that doesnt help( at least i think so, not sure if im using it right)

please help!

You do have a lot of programs running on startup (O4). This site shows what is actually needed:

matvangogh, FYI, your homepage is set in IE and some folks like to hijack it to a specific website.
That is usually done to increase the number of 'hits' for ad revenue. There are some programs out there which will prevent a hijack of your homepage. One is available at:
