Hi,
I am attempting to to create a home network consiting of a windows 98 computer and a windows ME computer, I have installed an ethernet adaptor into both PCs and they both work well with a broadband modem, which i would usually use through the USB port. When in plug in the broadband modem into an ethernet card, it lights up, but when i connect both computers together nothing happens at all. I am using the Microsoft Home networking client and it hasn't been much help. I would really appreciate some help

Are you using a crossover cable or do you have a hub/switch?
If you're connecting the two computers together you need to buy/make a crossover cable. You can find directions to make your own by searching Google.
Hope this helps! TJ
