I dont think you can hide your IP address, but i did read on this forum that Zonealarm Pro hides the last Octet of your IP address. You could also try searching on "spoofing" which is surfing the web using a Public Proxy Server. The latter apparantly allows one to surf anonomously. I personaly have not tried it so i cant be sure if it works.

before using zonealarm, i had a program that hid my ip adress when using my browser. it didnt work on irc. it was 'anonymity 4 proxy' , which you can still download at eg
http://download.cnet.com/
its shareware, but you can run it free also, with less options. i don't know about co-operation with zonealarm.
it uses public anonymous proxy servers, and i guess thats the reason for slower connections with it.
hope this will help you

Eh..no way to hide your ip, well technically because of the MAC address which is burned into the NIC (or sometimes the router depeneding on how you have it setup). The only way to spoof your ip would be to use programs that fill in the header values of packets with bogus info. sometimes old kernels have problems too. Though if you did spoof/hide your originating ip and were to recieve with an open socket it wouldnt work due the fact that the src.ip would be falsified and the dest.ip wouldnt know where to send the (ACK'd or PUSH'd) data back...
