When I run scandisk it says that I have 99,745,792 bytes in 221 hidden files (I have 39,068,512 Kb total disk space). My question is it normal to have that many hidden files.

well in my opinion that is a lot of hidden files (39,068,512Kb is a lot of space). Is that normal or not? Well it depends, if you have a lot of programs or programs that need to hide their files, then yes that's ok. But I suggest you configure your windows and tell it to show all files (including hidden ones) then look around your hardrive and check for any hidden files you don't need anymore and delete them.

I can't tell if the hiddnen files are needed or not. I'm scared to delete anything. It isn't harmful to have that much space taken up is it?
