I'm running Win Me. When I go to start, help, I get "windows cannot find helpctr.exe". I do a search for it and get "hcappres.dll not found." Any ideas? I had a virus several weeks ago and may have deleted it in cleaning up the system. Is there a place that I can get a copy of the dll, if that is the problem?

have you been cleaning your registry? These help items seem to get swept away with many registry cleaners....perhaps a system restore is in order to a little while back. Otherwise maybe reinstall WinME over itself...not sure if that is the best option though but it is an option
let us know if you get this fixed.

Reinstalling Windows over itself will fix the problem.

you can do a search for that certain lost dll if you know the name of it and in which case you do, then paste it back where it goes. I had lost manny dll files in the past and most of them I was able to get on the internet.
