umm.....hello? echo? anyway umm....this computer here seems to sometimes pop up with a message saying (windows me)"helpctr has caused and error in wininet.dll Helpctr will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer". Then another one will pop up shortly after saying "helpctr has caused and error in kernel32.dll Helpctr will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer. and they both keep popping up until the computer is restarted then like 20 minutes later...it'll start happening again....there's no specific program that's always open except in the task bar, and well I looked at microsofts web page " http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q269/2/44.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0&qry=helpctr%20error&rnk=2&src=DHCS_MSPSS_gn_SRCH&SPR=WINME " and well it talks about the same error except with mshtml.dll AND it also says that I should ONLY do the fix if it is the PRECISE error and well...it don't give a fix....they do the umm typical microsoft thing and say call their support number and pay them to fix THIER mistake!!!....anyway....anyone know bout this perhaps how to fix it..maybe least that I"m not alone in this...thanks.....Michael....(retrolin@aol.com) I'd rather an emailed answer saying HELPCTR error but uhhh....that gettin to be a bit picky so I'll jus keep checkin here....bye bye

What kind of video card do you have? Have you updated the drivers for it from the manufacturer's website?
Also... what version of IE are you using? If you have not done so, try updating IE 5.5 to Service Pack 1. This cured a lot of ills with HTML documents, of which Helpcenter is one.
Summary: Every time when I turn off Hlep and Support, it comes up an error message "Hlepctr has caused an error in kernel32.dll, this program will now close. Can anyone hlep me with this? Thanks a lot ...
