Well some icons are missing in the taskbar, there is no preferred playback device. Volume control will not open.SOund problems mostly. The only thing I delete is temporary internet files and cookies, things I was told were safe too. Most of the missing files are dll, some exe and vxd but mostly all are dll files. I dont think I deleted them but then again I do not know a whole lot about computers.Hidden? My dad is going to try to get a friend of his to look at it or take it to a computer specialist, can I get these files back myself, or is it hard for the specialists to put these files back in. There are 29 missing so it says, but some of those files, like hyperload.exe, i have hyperload so some of them has to be wrong. But I was just wondering if I could somehow get those back myself, or do I need a specialist to put them back in, does it take them long to do that?

System Restore really did not help anything. Unless something is wrong with it, I guess the only choice I have is to let a specialist put the files back in.
How do you know your missing files? My guess is that something isnt working properly or your receiving an error. Its best to just say what the problem is.. "my modem doesnt work" or my "sound card doesnt work" then provide any specific error messages that popup.
Files..drivers dont just disappear over time. SOmeone or something has caused a problem. Try reinstalling the drivers for the device your having problems with.
