Over the holidays my computer completly crashed. I have a gateway pentium III computer. My computer came with a system restoration kit, so I restored windows. I lost all my files, but I have all of my programs and they run fine. However, when I try to get online, everything dials up and I connect, but an error pops up: NO SOCKET ERROR: 11001, ERROR - 0x800CCC0D. I checked my internet setting a million times. Can someone please help me?

google search for no+socket+error+11001
plenty of hits that address that issue
this one describes it as a mistyped e-mail

I had the socket error 110001 for three days and it drove me almost crazy but i've found a simple answer. You go to www.cnet.com, then you click on software. Then you search for the trojan remover, it is a little program but it's great!!!! no more socket error 11001.
