Help! reinstalling microsoft office

HI...a little while back i decided to get rid of outlook and excel to get more free disk space. then suddenly my whole internet stopped working. (my interent explorer and instant messenger) i have the microsoft office professional cd to reinstall everything, but as soon as i put it in my computer i get a message : "The MSIEXEC.exe file is linked to missing export MSI.DLL.222". This prevents me from going any further. i have no idea what this means and i don't know if i accidently deleted a folder or file i shouldnt, have please help help help! thanks in advance!
