Hi! I'm finally going to partition my 40 Gb hard drive, and install some of the O/S I have. I want to install Win 98, ME, Windows 2000 pro, and Linux. Should I install all? I have the disks.....please....any suggestions?

No need for windows 98 and windows ME. Choose one and forget about the other. If you must have all of these operating systems use FDISK from the windowsME boot disk to delete existing partitions and create new ones. At the A:prompt type in "FDISK" and follow onscreen direction to create a primary and extended partition. create a primary partition of 70% and an extended of 30%. this will give you 30% of the drive for linux, and the option to divide the remaining 70% up between ME and 2K. You may want to give less or more space to one of the OS'S up to you. Just make sure you leave enough to install linux. Current versions of linux can require up to 6 GB of space if you choose to install all of the packages included. Install windowsME on the primary partition first. Install windows2K second on the primary partition. Windows 2k will let you boot into either ME or 2K at start up. Install linux on the extended partition. You should be prompted to create a LILO boot disk during installation. This disk if inserted into the floppy drive when you start the computer will boot you into LINUX. Good Luck. I hope im correct! :)
