Help network card

I just got dsl but i needed a 3com pci 10/100 twisted pair network card so i bought and now after i put the card in and restart my compter it gose throught everytthing and then it frezies up right before the screen comes up where i have to enter my pastword. i have tryed starting up in safemode but it didnt work and i do not have any idea what to do so if anybody has a way to fix this pleaze tell me. Thank you for taking the time to help me.

When you installed the card, you may have knocked something loose.

i went throught and made sure everything was connected there was nothing lose and it still dose the samething

If you pull out the 3com card... can you get into normal mode?

yes if i take out the card i can go it to my computer like nothing is wrong

Which slot are you putting the card in? Have you tried different slots?

Have you tried loading the drivers without having the card installed... then putting it in and booting up?
