i got a virus from msn messenger service and while i was trying to delete it i did something wrong and now nothing in windows me works!!!it says that i dont have the permission to use that service!!!everything i click on says that exept internet explorer and my documents!!!so now i cant use lots of stuff so im trying to reinstall everything!!!if u can help me with this e-mail me at olaguere13@hotmail.com

It may be too late..format "c" and re-install system. If you have OEM, use their procedure. IF SYSTEM RESTORE was active, boot in safe mode and try to restore. I have been on ME since the day it came out.. never a virus, but GO-BACK provides excellent recovery from almost any non-hardware disaster and it "restores" much more accurately than SYSTEM RESTORE. (I am not a roxio salesman..but GOBACK is excellent.good luck..bob

BTW..I have used "System Restore" so much that I finally started re-installing WinMe over top of itself. I am interested in GoBack but am unfamiliar with it. Do you lose any data, does it restore system files, or what is the scoop? PS I would be glad to read about it if it isn't relevant to this post. Just point the way
