i absolutly hate having windows me in my computer it has done nothing but screw things up after i rebuilt this damn thing. i need your help to get the sound back into my computer. it says that there is no device for it. i have never taken anything out or installed anything new on here since i have rebuilt it. we were jsut fine using windows 98 until i figured i would get me on it, now we cant get sounds. please help me with this problem. thanks alot.

i would first verify your sound card is compatible with windows me and then try installing the correct driver for your sound card. im sure youve already done this but its worth a shot. by rebuilt what do you mean? physically took it apart? you may have knocked something loose or damaged something or reinstalled it wrong. if 98 was running fine im not sure why you upgraded.

if you would provide more information rather than 'complain', we might be able to help.. Did it work at all when you installed ME? Try going into 'device manager' and deleting all of the sound section and reboot (or refresh) and it should come up and reinstall the drivers.. give it a shot.
