HI I used to defrag after Ctrl-Alt-Del closing all but systray & explorer,it still took about one hour.Since downloading END IT ALL I have just defragged after ten days.It took exactly 10 mins.you can download this tool here http://www.yankeewebworks.com/wck/freeware.html When you get to site scroll down page and download enditall.zip745kb,When using tool do not use kill all,you must use Close All hope this helps people who have trouble defragging

Defrag should be done preferably in Safe Mode.

Surely booting in safe mode just runs the pc without any unneeded background programs running.this tool only runs the progs.that are needed to run,so isnt that the same??? BOB
