ive bought an unbranded dvd+rw via ebay,
it came and ive installed it as i would a cdrom but when tryiong to play a dvd as a test real player suggested i need to install the dvd's software....any ideas where i can obtain the software? free/cheaply???

Start by getting rid of RealPlayer. No one should have that crap on their PC. Replace it with RealAlternative:
