I have a HP that came with Me, I upgraded to XP and had some issues so i restored ME. When doing so i guess i wiped the harddrive. Now it automatically is saying "starting windows 95.
then it says type command eg C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM
what command to i type and what is the proper way of typing the command? I have tried a few i got off a site from google and nothing has been working. I am not sure if it is the wrong command or I am just typing it wrong.

"wiped the harddrive" if that was the case you would get no messages.

I suspect you have tried to SYS the drive with a Boot Floppy

I believe ME is toast best to statrt afresh, M$ stating upgrading ME to XP was not one of M$ better idea's, it has never worked afaik.
