I've got a Gateway Solo 1150 running Windows ME. After I login to Windows, I can still move the cursor around and the background is there, but no icons, taskbar, anything. I press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, no programs are running.
How can I fix this?

Reply: (edit)I Get the same exact problem. I have an compaq presario 5000 but with an amd motherboard. Also after changing my motherboard, my usb keyboard does not work outside of windows.

Reply: (edit)Quick restore wont work for me. It keeps telling me my computer cannot be restored to, and then the dates i chose. I am not sure of what to do now.
