Hi Everyone,
I just added a 160g hd to my system, the os does not see it and the system is erratic with the hd cabled in. The wd diagnostic program sees it and checked it out. My primary hd is 40g it checked out ok as did the new one I installed. Can the wme os work with an hd as big as 160g? I like the wme system as I have the flexibility of the dos. I reloaded the os a few times with no luck, I tried a couple of suggestions from 2 posters, I appreciated their help, but the wme has a mind of its own, I hope to stay with wme rather than jump to wxp,
I thank you in advance for any help or suggestions you can give me,
cordially,
frank

It is not a limitation of ME par-se, but the BIOS, does the BIOS support LBA48 ??

Can you partition the drive into two? I have 120GB partitioned into 3.
C:\ for Win ME, D:\ for Win XP & E:\ for storing files.
