On about half the web sites I visit I have to manually select View-Encoding-Western European(Windows) to see any images. I have to re-select this option every time I link to a different web page since IE6 automacally switches to Western European(ISO)...which doesn't seem to work for me.

How do I make IE6 keep the Western European(Windows) option instead of switching by itself?

Help...

Open an IE window. click view-enconding

make sure the check mark beside auto detect is there. if it is try disabling this then select the one you want. If it wasn't enabled, try enabling it.
