Hey i just wanting to know in my mainboard manual from 4 years ago it says in the Hard disk section says "System Bios supports 4 IDE hDD which not need device driver for S/W application and the capacity of each harddisk can be larger than 528MB and up to 8.4GB" now my question is up to now i've used a 4 gig Hdd but since 30 gig hdd sounds good can hold more and is cheap 2 buy i want to upgrade my hard disk storage can you see any problems with the 30Gig hdd and the mainboardi quoted up top? will it not read hdd over 8.4gig ?

It may read it if you flash the BIOS to a newer version. You would have to visit the mainboard's site to see if a newer BIOS is available,if it would fix the issue and instructions to install it.

..if its a SEAGATE Drive, go to their web site and download Disk Manager it will overcome this problem. MAY work on other drives and its a piece of **** to use.

Good luck,I know how you feel!!
