Comment: I upgraded from Win 98SE to WinME yesterday. Everything appeared to go fine and after installing ME I tested a few apps, changed wallpaper, etc. to make sure the system was functional. Today, when I came in the screen was black and I rebooted the computer (my usual cure for moet ailments). The screen came up white except for the desktop icons, and wouldn't allow any of teh "web desktop" wallpapers that came with ME to be loaded. Then I discovered that the hard drive was reporting only the files already on it, with no free space shown. This is a brand new 40 gig hard drive with about 34 gigs of actual free space. I can't make any changes to data, activate the "System Restore" or uninstall ME to revert back to Win 98, because the drive is "locked" somehow and nothing can be written to it. The Windows Explorer also reports "0" bytes free in the status bar. Any suggestions?
