Hard Disk Problem

My hard disk cannot use a "FDISK" in MS dos command. It say " No a fixed disk" and my computer cannot finish a window start up, cannot setup windows and cannot format disk. Please tell me what must i do?

What does BIOS sau about the HD? M2 If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.

M is right. Can you see the HDD in the BIOS? If not, open the case and check the cables.. It may be that the cable is just loose..
