there is a 1984 book by david j. bradley entitled
"assembly language programming for the ibm personal computer"
that gives an extremely detailed explanation of how computers work--w/details of what a register is and does and how the computer processes info.
Please do not consider this spam, i am just trying to share what i consider to have been a great find.

i read this book some time back and it dose a good job of explaing things.
loacal libray here still has a copy they never get rid of any thing.lol

I like all of Mark Minasi's Upgrading and Repairing PCs. Each book about 1400-1500 pages.

Laugh hehe - the Idiot's guide to Upgrading and Repairing PCs. Very detailed!! In English for those with not much puter exper!

The Dummy networking books-interesting.

I want to get my A+ and also go after networking and networking security!!!!!!
