Hi RoJmab, if you are talking about the Windows Networking box that show up during startup and ask for your password, then go to Control Panel and double click on Network. In Network, change the “Client for Microsoft Networks” to “Windows Logon” in Primary Network Logon and restart.
If the Windows Networking box is not the one I thought then please come back and give us more detail so other can help you better.
That still may not get rid of it if you don't also go to the Control Panel/Passwords, and on the User Profiles tab, choose All Users use the same, etc, etc...
Hey Dale, that work for me just fine, and since then I don’t have to deal with that ever again. But for me I don’t have a network of computers running in my house, I just install the network card for the cable modem. Therefore, I am not sure whether you have to do what you said to fix this problem if you have other computers networked. But please tell me more about your method, just in case I run into this sort of problem in the future.
