SOMEHOW... while using the mouse on the right-side of the screen, (don't-know what happened), suddenly, a huge-pane/window appeared, w/ my START menu, desktop icons, & taskbar/shortcut icons all on it!!! Also, my regular taskbar is now GONE, & I want it back the way it was! What in the world... can I do? My ideas aren't working, & I can't use "TWEAK"! I am lost-& would appreciate ANY help! Thank-you.

Can you use your system restore utility ,they work well for putting setting back the way the where B/4 ? Also you can go to te start button ,settings ,chose taskbar and start menu and play around wwith those differant settings till you get it back to the way you liked it !
Good Luck Nick

David,
Not totally sure I understand your dilemma. But, might give this try, ok.
Move your pointer to an open area (no icons-shortcuts-ect.), of what you called "a huge-pane/window". Then hold your left mouse button down. Now, while holding the button down. Move the pointer to the bottom of the screen. Now release the mouse button. Are things back to the way you want them?
As I said, not sure of what you're describing.
Good Luck,
CrazyOne

David, how did you go? Did you fix the problem and how?
Same thing has happened to me (task bar has moved from the bottom horizontally to now being vertically on the right of my screen.) This happened after I installed Google Earth on the custom settings they recommended to install it on.
Now my system restore dates are unclickable not allowing me to do a restore in any way (and i have the 'turn off system restore' box unticked). So that option for me isnt working. Any suggestions anyone?
Thanx in advance...
