Comment:

I recently downloaded and installed a video driver update to my computer via the Gateway website. The problem is that I installed the video driver a second time - unaware that when I downloaded it originally it had installed it automatically. Now it looks as if the screen loads twice during startup. Is this possible? How do I go back?
Thanks..........Pat

Remove thew video adapter from the device manager than at boot time auto discovery (PNP) will detect the card and prompt you for the drivers. Point it to them C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM...........
Or let it install the default drivers then run the update again.
