We have an NEC Powermate 600 PIII with windows 98 upgraded to Windows ME - 128mb ram and 4mb shared video. We are trying to run educational games for the kids like Eureka 3D Reading program which states on the box that it's for Windows ME - have also tried a lego game. They both freeze up and the only way to get out is to turn of machine at the power. Is it our video card - 4mb shared or is it Windows ME, causing the drama? Please help.
your computer might work better with windows 98... try to call microsoft about these problems (when YOU did upgrade they provide tech support without paying them $35 fee)... otherwise go throught all of your hardware driverers and update them to windows ME comptible(if you are lucky you might find them)... if you are unlucky you will end up buying some new hardware Regards Miro
