freezing when installing a os

i have a pent 200 mmx 64 ram and it was freezing so i decide to formatt it but nowi carnt install windows agian as it freezes everytime at a different spto during the installition how can i fix thins mess thanx

hello do scan disk with m.e bootdisk you may have bad sectores on the hard drive. alldo d/l docmemory and run it to test your ram. 64megs is not much to be running m.e with.

I am running ME on my winbook J1 and every once in awhile the computer will randomly shut itself off. It is not overheating, but more seems to occur when it encounters an error. After it shuts off it becomes more and more difficult to restart, shutting off sooner and sooner. Finally, if left alone for a good 3 hours it will restart and be fine for another 2 months. After many knowledgeable people told me that the problem was that i was running ME, which sucks. So i finally went and got XP and while installing the damn thing shut down. what am i supposed to do?
