i have somehow solved the problem of the freezing, i have deleted all the unwanted software that i don't use, that i thought might be corrupting my computer, but now upon start up a box comes up with this message: error starting program
a required .DLL file, IMBROWSE.DLL, was not found, but have searched the web on dll files, but nothing comes up with this file. thought it might be something to do with incredimail, so installed it and then uninstalled and then did a restart but it still seems to be coming up. Do you have any suggestions, my stepfather tried to look for it with me on the net, but he couldn't find anything either, as he is pretty good at solving my pc problems.

Thankyou
Jodie.

hello
if the rest of the system is working fine and you can get past the unfound dll i would not worrie to much about it. you might want to d/l spybot search and destroy, update it run it. to remove any unwated things that could have been left behind.
you maky allso have to go to the registry and remove enteries for the programs you removed.make back of any registry enteries your going to delete first incase you have any problems later. registry editing should be done but experianced pc users. or veary carefully with full back ups of it by novices. do google on how to eddit the registry. lots of info out there.
have a nice day

Hi there, i have done a restore point and did a restore, but unfortunately its still freezing, but this time it shows my task bar now, where before it didn't. I'm not quite sure what a d/l spybot means. I not really that good with computers. Plus i'm not quite sure what to do with this registry thing. I was thinking of putting in my system recovery disks, and scratch everything and start my pc again, like what it was when i first brought it, do you think it would be a better idea to do that, stat from scratch.

Hey there,
I have dealt with the problem of this pesky .dll showing up on one of the users in my company. It is a file that is usually left over after removing incredimail. It may also become currupt or get deleted while you still have incredimail running on your system.
The solution:
Remove incredimail form your system if you have not already done so.
Click START, RUN, type msconfig, click OK. Search the tabs and remove any reference to incredimail and IMBROWSE.DLL.
This will stop the error from occurring.
Hope this helps out.
Cheers,
Christopher
