Hi guys. A couple strange things have happened to my comouter lately. When I boot up my computer its fine, but as soon as i go click start on the bottom part of the screen it freezes for about a minute. The whole computer doesn't freeze just the bottom portion, I am able to click the icons on the desktop. This also happens when I go to Netscape Navigator to check my email. I click the mail icon it freezes for a bount a minute. Also, lately I have had a lot of Pop-Ups. I have Sybot, NoAdWare, Adware Spy, and they can't get rid of the problem. I have a copy of my HJackThis Log FIle if needed.

Help would be very appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

NoAdWare and Adware Spy are themselves considered adware.

Use Spybot and Adaware

with only 64mb of ram I would look at step #9. Also there is a link to a program call delindex.bat consider using it. Run the 2 program in response #1 from safe mode, with system restore disabled, then reenable it.

larry

I installed the google free tolbar that has a built in popup bocker that works great. I use to get so many popups that I spend more time closing them down then anything else. It has other options , like auto fill ,which once you enter your information will autonatically fill in your name address etc. only if you want it to of course. Go ahead and check it out !

Installing a popup blocker to block spyware popups uses even more system resources. You do not see the popup, but your system does (and then it is blocked).

Your system would be much faster and less prone to errors if you remove the spyware.
