ugghhhh.........i just bought a new sony cdrw and i can't get it to work right. first off it is 48x read 40x write (cdr) and it took and hour just to READ. i also keep getting messages saying not enough disk space to create image file. i delete oodles of files and programs ran a scan disk and a disk defragmenter and i still only have 500mb of free disk space i think i need 800 or so mb to use this burner properly. i also purchased a usb 2.o pc card thingee to increase the burning speed. i have windows me i think 700mhz 64gb (think, can't remember at the moment.) well i am about to break my vaio. any suggestions in laymen terms.

How big is your HD. Virtual memmory uses a lot of disk space. If there isn't enough it wil slow down your PC. So even when you free up 800MB the PC wont run well.
