when i format c: from a floppy drive, is also my mbr gone(ready for a new one)? If not, is this possible and does removing it harm my system? Does every hd (i have 2) have a mbr?
thanks for any help.

No it's not gone - You can recreate it by entering:

FDISK /MBR

But, be careful, many OEM's (like Compaq) add additional information to the MBR - and your PC won't work without it.
