Bewarned!!! Some Compaq's store part of the BIOS on the hard drive in a hidden folder. If you delete this folder, you will be stuck. See...... http://fdisk.radified.com/

Hi Gerryb, Matt, Michael2, hello everyone,
The BIOS is still on the CMOS chip on the motherboard.
What Compaq does is installs the utility to access the BIOS on a Non-DOS partition.
If the Non-DOS partition is removed you would not be able to access the BIOS via F10.
Compaq has a utility on there site that one could run that would restore this.
