Alright, I have a floppy disk that says it's got 2 MB. I'm using Windows ME and a DOS prompt ver 4.90.3000. I can not seem to figure out the proper way to utilise the parameters and what parameters to use?
How do you format the disk the use the 2MB(IThank you for your help and the great reminder!

You can't. The 2mb is for an unformatted diskette. Once it gets formatted, it becomes the usual 1.44 mb size. The extra space is lost to overhead for formatting info.

its an odd system. All 1.44 mb disks are 2mb
All 720 k are 1mb

You can fit 1.6 mb of data onto a floppy, but only microsoft seem to know how. Just check out an old win 3.1 install disk. 1.6mb

If you know how to format like this.. wed all like to know!

A lot of larger volume floppy disk schemes can only be read on a computer with the software that created them. That drawback did not apply to Stacker compression but it was awkward.
