I dragged and dropped a series of fonts in my font folder, and later found out they have to be installed. So I installed them by going to the fonts folder and selecting install. After installing approx. 200 fonts, Illustrator and Photoshop both now say "Adobe UI font could not be loaded, exit program to install it or uninstall other fonts". When I try to load the UI it isn't visible in the install editor, but you can see it in explorer. Is is possible I have a corrupted font and that is why it says I should uninstall other fonts as a 2nd option?
Should I delete all the new fonts I added? Can I just delete them from explorer and keep only the ME fonts? Then uninstall and reinstall my Illustrator & Photoshop programs to get my original fonts back?
Thank you, Kim

Think you should look here

Then post back if you still have any questions.

depends on how ya downloaded ur fonts...if ya downloaded them in a zip file for example..ya hafta unzip them to the fonts folder..then ya have np using them

I went to the other URL, but they didn't have any answers on my problem. My problem has gotten worse and I am wondering if ME needs to be reinstalled.
Here is the latest: Since I was unable to copy and paste any of my fonts from the C:\windows\fonts folder to another folder, I copied the whole "font" folder and pasted it to a different location on my hard drive and then renamed it (fontx). Not realizing that if I drag a font from this new "fontx" folder to another location that it would drag that same font from my c:windows\font folder - I inadvertantly removed an ME font. Now I get another error in addition to the "Adobe UI font" error. The new error says - "unable to load interface font photoshop will now use a substitute font.
I tried to do the "Start- run - fontreg" technique to restore the font, (I assume I had the correct disc to attempt this with) but that hasn't helped. I have uninstalled both Photoshop and Illustrator
and deleted their old folders, then reinstalled the two programs and still I have this problem. Any ideas?Getting more stuck every day -
Thank you,
Kimberly
